About Our Tampa Bay Chapter
On behalf of our thirty plus volunteers, the Tampa Bay Chapter 203 of the Mentors to America's Small Business, is pleased to welcome you to our website. SCORE Chapter 203 was formed in 1968, just four years after the National organization was chartered by the United States Congress. We operate under funding provided by the U.S. Small Business Administration.
We have professionals from many walks of life, from construction to Federal contracting. From CPA's to people that provide training in professional accounting systems. We have Spanish speaking specialists, who work with the Hispanic Business Information Center.
Your local SCORE Chapter also supports the National Cyber Counseling efforts; we have many members that provide professional counseling services via the internet and email. If you are interested in Cyber Counseling you can find out more at our National website, www.score.org. We look forward to assisting you soon, let us help you, to help yourself. If you have questions about your business model, trouble with you accounting system, or simply want to find out how to go into business, we have the resources to help!
Our local Chapter offers a service for those businesses that want to move to the next level. We call it the SAC; the SCORE Advisory Committee. Your Mentor would recommend that you attend a Committee meeting to determine if you are ready to make such a change. The Committee is made up of senior advisors with many years of experience owning managing guiding small businesses. Their specific areas of expertise are different such that they would be looking for what is missing in different areas of your business during the same presentation. There would be a review of the meeting provided to the Client and the Mentor so that they could work together to develop the action plans needed to stretch to new goals.
